This 3-bedroom, pre-war co-op in Prospect Heights was in desperate need of a kitchen update. The gut renovation included removing a portion of the wall enclosing the space to take advantage of the apartment’s southern light exposure and to create an eat-at kitchen island. The design also added new floor tile, lighting fixtures, and replaced all of the appliances and millwork with a modular system to provide ample storage space.
The cumbersome window units were also replaced with a split Mitsubishi AC unit to let in the maximum amount of natural light and fresh air.
