Arketekcher worked closely with a family to design a new flexible studio and guesthouse in Mount Pleasant, New York. In the current work-from-home climate, this auxiliary space provides the family with much needed square footage, separated from their primary home. The flexible structure is designed to serve as a work studio during the week, while easily converting to a guesthouse and exterior patio for entertaining.
To guide the design process and demonstrate possibilities, arketekcher developed 11 different massing concepts for the structure. Going forward, these concepts can easily be developed for and applied to other properties to serve other families.
